New paint adds sparkle!

This property was a little different from our usual fare in that it was mostly finished in drab grey stucco with only a small section in the more traditional timber weatherboards.

It was in an idyllic location in a quiet wooded lane beside the proverbial sparkling stream and so was a great place for us all to work.

Our client wanted to add a bit of sparkle to the house too but also wanted to keep the changes subtle.

We spent a lot of time applying different greys and grey-blues to both sunny and shaded parts of the house - around 12 different test pots in all - before we all agreed that Resene ‘Half Innocence’ for the stucco and Resene ‘Sea Fog’ for the windows and trim worked really well in both dappled shade and full sun.

Resene ‘Half Innocence’ is a conservative and moody grey-green whilst Resene‘Sea Fog’ is a misty off-white with a hint of grey. In our opinion these colours complement each other and the house and setting very well.

Our client was kind enough to post a review saying she agreed and was very pleased with our service, colour choices and advice. That’s the icing on the cake for us.

Project testimonial

" I was impressed with their service. Their workmanship was thorough. They were easy to get on with and having them working around the home was not disruptive. Thank you and I am very pleased with the colour choices and advice." Jane Prescott Thames * * * * *
