Tararu villa passionately restored

This villa renovation project was a real beauty. It's a classic Kiwi weatherboard villa built in 1880 and although it has been added to over the decades the original building is still intact. Notably, this house also boasts the first bay window to be installed in Thames.

We also renovated the interior – lots of huge solid Kauri doors and big fancy fireplaces included.

The owner grew up in this house so obviously has an emotional attachment to the place so it was great to work for someone who was as passionate about the restoration as we were.

A newly restored and painted grand entrance, befitting this magnificent Tararu villa

Villa lounge interior: Before and after

The front door was stripped back including the old door handle and restored with love. Looks brand new and it's 140 years old!

A few more pictures... I hope you like the pictures. My team and very much enjoyed this villa restoration. Graham Willers Thames House Painting Services
